al principio no tuvo mucho éxito, pero como era muy fácil de tocar muchas bandas la tenían en su repertorio en fiestas y guateques... hasta que llegó este hombre con esa potente voz y esa fuerza dándole su toque personal y la hizo universal... 'Land of a thousand dances' (la tierra de las mil danzas) es un tema compuesto en el sesenta y dos por Chris Kenner y lanzada por Wilson Pickett en el sesenta y seis... aunque la suya es una versión entre las muchas que se han hecho de este tema, personalmente es la que más me gusta, el ritmo y la fuerza que le imprime es espectacular...como nota curiosa, el famoso estribillo 'na nana na na nana na na' es el resultado de una improvisación, por lo visto una de las bandas que la versionaron se olvidó de la letra en un directo e improvisó sobre la marcha, pero eso le debió gustar mucho al público porque, después, todos la cantaron con ese estribillo...con esta perlita cumplo el reto con mi amiga +Mayra A. Moreno P. e invito a que continúe con los tesoros sesenteros a +Paty Montes ¿aceptas amiga?
