Kenneth Mc Kellar - Wi' a Hundred Pipers, with addition of lyrics and without the fanfare intro. While listening to the song, you can watch images of bagpipers, scottish castles and information about bagpipes, their parts and way of functioning.

Wi' a hundred pipers, an' a', an' a',

Wi' a hundred pipers, an' a', an' a',

We'll up an' gie them a blaw, a blaw

Wi' a hundred pipers, an' a', an' a'.

O it's owre the border awa', awa'

It's owre the border awa', awa'

We'll on an' we'll march to Carlisle ha'

Wi' its yetts, its castle an' a', an a'.

O! our sodger lads looked braw, looked braw,

Wi' their tartan kilts an' a', an' a',

Wi' their bonnets an' feathers an' glitt'rin' gear,

An' pibrochs sounding loud and clear.

Will they a' return to their ain dear glen?

Will they a' return oor Heilan' men?

Second sichted Sandy looked fu' wae.

An' mithers grat when they march'd away.

The Esk was swollen sae red an' sae deep,

But shouther to shouther the brave lads keep;

Twa thousand swam owre to fell English ground

An' danced themselves dry to the pibroch's sound.

Dumfoun'er'd the English saw, they saw,

Dumfoun'er'd they heard the blaw, the blaw,

Dumfoun'er'd they a' ran awa', awa',

Frae the hundred pipers an' a', an' a'.

It's technically possible to march from Scotland to Iraq on foot solely after the completion of the cross-channel tunnel...

I am not blaming the soldiers. I am saying instead of being proud that soldiers have invaded Iraq illegally, people should be asking why soldiers were sent and killed there in the first place.

don't blame the soldiers for doing their job, the government picks the wars not the armed forces. You might not like the war and that is fair enough but the soldiers are also the victims of the conflict and no one has more a right to hate the war more than them, blame the government who sends the soldiers by all means but not the soldier.

I have to say I love this song, Kenneth McKellar had an amazing voice. The video itself is great. But I have to say, each time I come to the photo with the special effect, I keep thinking that poor lone piper is being attacked by a swarm of locusts! or ... worse! ye gads! mosquitoes the size of minivans! Hide the wimmin and children!

Pride is blind, i don't think he'll even make the connection. Or even know what the lyrics mention in the end.

Which regiment did you serve with? This was one of my grandfather's regimental marches. He served with the Kent Regiment (Canadian Armed Forces) during WW2

@3tangle3 aye mate many a time, last time as far as derby inducing panic in london.. learn history.. in fact point being that war n others aroon that time wer lost partly due to the fact that many scottish border regiments and english bum licking borderers n unionists took the british side and faught against the Jacobites.. much like the troops in these pics they dont represent scotland they represent the bloody murderous union jack but the lyrics refer to fighting this kind.. contradiction...
