Lyrics by Bates/Sperandio:
when the tide ebbs
sand beneath you
disappearing
the din now a murmur
of grey
propped up with papers
thin and
pulled by those who are no more
save in your heart
a touch in dreams
whispers screaming silently
spilling everywhere
the warmth beside you
a half shadow of
the light you held
The seven-song ep, released in 2007, delivers a diverse and engaging list of hits that still resonate with audiences today, starting big from the get-go their take on Muse's "Supermassive Black Hole." It also has two tracks that garnered recognition from the Contemporary A cappella Recording Awards (CARAs) -- "Home" (Best Contemporary Pop/Rock Cover Song, 2007) and "Whispers" (Best Contemporary Pop/Rock Original Song runner-up, 2007). And the entire album was named the Best Contemporary Pop/Rock Album of the Year for 2007.
