@skorchedutopia If you enjoy ambient, instrumental rock, you need to check out Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Their sound seems disorganized, messy and void of any real sense of order that we are used to in music. But if you can bear with them, they are something really special. I frequently put on a record of theirs, lay back and close my eyes. It's like slipping into an alternate reality full of strange wonder - you're not sure where you're going, or why, but the journey there is memorizing.

Fuckin' beautiful. This genre is something fairly new to me, but I've always been fond of the ambient/industrial/rhythmic mix to be found here. 'Explosions in the Sky' was my first introduction and I haven't been able to find much since--band wise. In short, thank you. I'll have to hunt down this album. And from what I can tell, you have great taste.
