Many different singers have done this number and I've heard many; I like many. But this woman does this song in a uniquely expressive way that is peerless, and her musical director is right there with her every step of the way. The Simply Streisand album is among her best early works. I wish everyone on earth could hear this one.11 years назад

We are blessed with a world of wonderful singers, but Barbra does more than sing a song...she tells a story...and there's no question of the story she is telling. Barbra is an undeniable talent of the first order. This is her style. She works a song with a bit of Broadway and a dose of her own soulfulness. It may not be what everyone likes, but her talent is real and not based on some video of her shakin' her booty or being "cute at most". Beauty refers here to the music "dude". I've been listening to her since she first started recording. I'm not fanatic, but I do like many of her performances. This is a good one. But check out Mel Torme doing this song.14 years назад

Nobody can sing like this supertalent - In the smoky velvet relaxing fog of her phrasing on this one, I'm surprised there are those who like to pontificate and opine about someone else's perception of a wonderful song. Her voice is the Stradivarius and can anyone surpass it?
