My girlfriend of 5 months and I had our first kiss during a Weezer concert last November. When we finished I heard Rivers from onstage say, "That's the first time we ever played that song live". I hardly heard it, but the chorus was faintly playing in the back of my mind I thought it was saying "Don't bring it inside oooo-ooo-ee". Rather than romance we got the god damn American revolution. I'm completely okay with that.

I've been trying to wrap my brain around these lyrics for a bit and the only way to read it to me is as a continuation of the back to the shack idea. Leaving behind a certain type of production (punk ass red coats are trying to run the show). It can't be about P. Revere - that's too stupid. Plus you got all this keep the tradition alive - that is rock music not 'Merica (at most it is American rock). He goes on elsewhere about disco sucking and says sorry to fans for trying to get a bigger audience. So the question then is - who are the music bizz brits who pissed him off?
