The song is in E but the harmonica is in A. It is cross harp not straight harp. Straight harp would have a harmonica in the same key as the song. Cross harp is 4 steps higher starting with the key the song is in so it would be E-F-G-A with A being the harp. With cross harp you draw (suck in), straight harp you blow. Cross harp is standard in blues. Straight harp is more like Bob Dylan style

@difdude Actually I do. If you were around back then you'll remember how the band fought this decision. The beep is so loud and obstructive it is almost like a PMRC victory cry. Also made me enjoy "Ode to Tipper Gore" so much more.
