I wrote an article for "Utopia Times" about the stage crew. While interviewing them TR showed up. I wanted to zoom over, say hello, but thought, "Nope. I'm here for the crew. Here's where I stay." TR knows everything that goes on in every part of production, including a reporter (ha) chatting up the crew. By the time I got to Larry Toomey (sound), I suddenly had illicit permission to stay for the closed sound check. Heard TR's voice, single channel, right into my soul. Still grateful to Larry.

4:05/4:23 onward Rundgren vox. It's loaded, Hall and Rundgren share oxygen, TRundgren's understanding of live-and-raw pushes less toward beyond and more toward fusion with DHall's ever-so-effortless and lush Pop's harmonies here. The result is a heretofore unimagined evolution of the song in progress. A second/third take might well of released the aforementioned slight but acute differences more toward eternal than is this finding capture. Palpable chemistry in the room though... !

early 70's listening to 'runt', amazed by the delicious harmonies and mr. r's wonderful voice. he has had much success, but much of it behind the scenes. he's a mega talent, who should be a household name. your basic fine wine, that has improved with time.
