Good Morning Jack,You may be interested in a CD available from Amazon of Adam Norden's music from the Wallander series. It consists of 28 tracks of musical excerpts from various episodes of the series, including that haunting piano theme. If you go on Amazon Click music type in Wallander, you will see the CD, its the first item with blue cover. None are very long but I found it very redolent of the series. Can I ask what part of the country you are from, I presume you watch on BC 4?I am a big fan of all the Nordic Noir also the French series Spiral (really down and dirty!) and the Belgian series Salamander with Filip Peeters.Nice to talk to you,Regards,Roy

Its good to know there are plenty of fans out there, thank Goodness for BBC4 for bringing us all that wonderful Nordic Noir, not forgetting of course Spiral and Salamander. Totally agree The Krister Henriksson version of Wallander is the best what great acting and directing from the Sweddish cast I just finished watching the final season 3 I found the music very sad and haunting,loved the titles closing song does anyone kwow what is was called??Regards Jack Ritchie

The Krister Henriksson version of Wallander is by far superior to either the Ralf Lasgaard or the Kenneth Branagh versions.(The Branagh series was DIRE!).Henriksson IS Wallander, arguably one of the best cop shows on TV, helped by the superb supporting cast. I have the complete series on CD they are watchable time and again. Did'nt Charlotta Jonsson make a good Linda? It's a pity Quiet Night by Anna Terheim is not available on CD, I'm trying to find a way to download this from You Tube to my Mp 3 Player, any suggestions?Roy Langtree, Lancashire, England

I have to say that Christer Henriksons Wallander is shear perfection compared to the mid nineties version played by Rolf Lassgard and god awful Kenneth Branagh version. Henrikson's Wallander RULES.

Sometimes you find yourself stuck, and then one thing (Netflix) leads you to (Wallander) to (Anna Ternheim) to (Fleshquartet) and now to Henning's novels. But, I will keep listening, re-reading the lyrics to Quiet Night...What a wonderful set of gifts these artists have chosen to share with us. Thank you all.

I've enjoyed both Wallander versions. Kenneth Branagh is much cuter, but seems drunker more often. Before that, I read nearly all of Menkell's novels. The Branagh version is beautifully filmed and Emily Barker's Nostalgia is amazing. On the other hand, the original version with Krister Henrikson feels a little more lived and less slick. I can't decide--I'm in the middle of season 3 on Netflix.
