G.E. Smith era was the best version of H&O by far, maybe the only time they didn't just sound like "Hall's band." Smith added so much, played the old riffs like they were his own, didn't shrink from the spotlight, he actually loved it and it added to the cohesiveness. Try to find "Kiss On My List" live with Smith on guitar and you'll see what I mean.

Philly blue-eyed soul like Daryl and John have put out for close to 40 years is a passionate, deeply heartful music which transcends age. It shows you have a keen ear for great music!!! Great to see this, especially after watching G.E Smith and the tribute to T-bone on Daryl's House recently. The years have passed but they still spin their magic. Check out "In The Night" from that episode with G.E.Smith singing and puts in a little adlib for his missing friend.
