Pete Drake played on a few songs.(not wah-wah) I think all things must pass, i live for you, behind that locked door. maybe if not for you and let it roll. Claptons main parts were, I'd have you any time, wah wah (lower riff) isn't it a pity version 2, art of dying and I think the fills on beware of Darkness. He played other rythm parts as well. As far as i know Mason only played on thanks for the pepperoni and plug me in. trying to figure out the drums bass and keyboards is a chore. Whitlock, Wright and Preston played together on most songs. Brooker says he only played on wah-wah and what is life.

That's Peter Drake's talking pedal steel doing the "Wah-Wahs".

L'Angelo Mysterioso, par exemple... Indeed, the record companies forced George to make amusing pseudonyms.

@idle44: That is true but what I was saying is that Eric Clapton IS credited on the "All Things Must Pass" album. George claimed in the '01 liner notes that he wasn't and he is. Open up the box and the credits are on the inside of the box to the left and Eric is listed as one of the guitarists along with George and Dave Mason. Why does George claim that Eric was never credited?

@MattHatter It's the record companies that refused credits on sleeves and in the press. For years Hari G. guested on other peoples albums under various pseudonyms. And then it grew into an amusing habit. To get back to ATMP Phil Collins was on some tracks as was Hank Marvin! But not credited.

Wah Wah = Headache. Paul would often give George headaches around the Get Back Session era telling him what to play, when to play and how to play it. Paul was oftentimes oblivious to other musicians feelings when it came to his songs. He would later mend fences with George over this as he never meant to hurt his feelings, he was just very driven when it came to his songs.

@musiccuts: Oh I've read that in the liner notes of the '01 remastered CD, but Clapton IS credited on the album as one of the guitarists. Sometimes we the fans know this stuff better than the artists themselves because they're not staying at home obsessing over this stuff like we do, LOL. Maybe George hadn't seen a copy of his own album in a long time and he forgot! LOL. I don't think the American and British copies have the same packaging. Maybe Eric isn't credited on the British one.

I don't have my album of it anymore as it was water damaged. Here is a quote from George; Above all, I would like to acknowledge my old friend Eric Clapton, who played many memorable guitar parts on the album. At that time we werent allowed by our record companies to acknowledge our presence on each others albums so he hasnt had a credit for thirty years. This can be found at albumlinernotes

@musiccuts: Do you have an original box set copy with the catalog number APPLE STCH 639 on the spine? When you open up the box on the left side says "The following musicians contributed to this album." Under "guitars" are both Eric Clapton and Dave Mason's names. I've NEVER seen a copy without Eric listed on the inside of the box. I DO NOT understand this at all and I've VERY curious.

It wasn't on my LP or CD here in America.

@musiccuts You know I've never understood why George claimed that Eric never received credit for playing on "All Things Must Pass!" Eric's name is right there in the box album cover listed as one of the guitar players on the album along with Dave Mason. Is it on the British copies that Eric isn't listed?! Because he's ALWAYS been on the American copies of the album.

Clapton did indeed play on this album He is the backup singer in Beware of Darkness with Bobby Withlock they are called the O'Hara-Smith singers on the album if you listen carefully you can hear clapton The recording of the album was with clapton withlock (who playde piano for the first time) and i think carl radle was on it as well, they helped out george while they were rehearsing for the what was to be Derek and the dominos

For Darkhorse George Harrison fans it is widely known that Clapton stole his wife. George Harrison felt bad for years that Clapton didn't receive proper credit for his contribution to that divorce. Clapton is secured as a player on wife taking. Patty Boyd would confirm I think.

dead right man!!! George was recording in studio 1 for "all things must pass", While John & PO Band were working "Plastic Ono Band" in studio 2, Clapton going one room to the other, when needed. It last months long. Clapton is secured as a player on studio takes. Mark Lewissohn would confirm I think.

For Slowhand Eric Clapton fans it is widely known that he did play on this studio version.

Yeah, the record company wouldn't credit Clapton on his work on the album. George Harrison felt bad for years that Clapton didn't receive the proper credit for his contribution to that album.

You should research this a little more. Clapton definitely did play on this studio version. Thanks
