A true story -- and there's video footage of it. Wagner was a well-known anti-Semite and his music was taken up by the Nazis. So in 2000, when the Israel Symphony Orchestra played a concert including Wagner's Siegfried Idyll, it was going to be controversial. In the audience was a survivor of the Nazi concentration camps who interrupted the performance by swinging a football rattle.
