Herman Dunham on lead.. One of the best there ever was. This reminds me a lot of Love Me As I Love You by Dave Baby Cortez (flip of Happy Organ). I'm guessing this inspired that one

As DrJimiboy69 said, this reminds me more of For Your Precious Love and not Dave "Baby" Cortez.

City Street Harmony

Great early 50s vocal group & a great song! Herman left the group around 54 and they reunited about 5 years later when they recorded this song.

You can hear the Impressions' "For Your Precious Love" all over this rare find. What a great obscure ballad. It really taps something welling up in thinking, feeling people. There is real intimacy captured in this song. What a miracle, no need for pimpsn'hos tomfoolery that degrades the race: The human race. This represents the heyday of post WW II urban America, despite the darker forces looming and laying back for the kill (JFK, Malcolm X, COINTELPRO, MK ULTRA, etc.) There is real excellence here.

I have to agree with most of the others, this is an absolute steal of For Your Precious Love by Jerry Butler & the Impressions, but not as good.
