Vintage 1971 Epiphone 6830 Acoustic guitar with Kalamazoo / Michigan. Made in Japan. Serial No # 105442. These are a rare find....
Beautiful finish, brilliant sound, rich tone. Smooth action with slim profile neck. No excessive wear, no buzz. The Spruce top with Rosewood back and sides gives this guitar it's unique, full, clear, brilliant sound like no other. Rosewood fingerboard with Mother of Pearl inlays and 'Epiphone' Logo on headstock. Adjustable bridge, black pickguard, white binding around neck and head, 6 tuning machines, always stays in tune.
The guitar came to me with issues, Finger tip sized dent on the back lower bout.
And as all adjustable bridges are prone to this there is some bridge lift...
These issues are pictured.
These issues do not effected the sound or playability for me in the past few months i've had it.
Repairs total cost approximately £50 according to my guitar tech/Luthier.
Worth it for such a lovely guitar.
Period correct Epiphone case with the guitar, the old cardboard type covered in rexine/tolex.
Case and catches are in used/worn vintage condition with a lovely old Epiphone logo on it (pictured)
I've used this guitar in the studio for work in Open G and it is a cracking sound!
Check out this video to hear the great sound quality.
