I know that she said she wanted her lyrics to be as open to interpretation as possible, I think the bands interpretation of this song is a more suicidal thought, but I percieve this song to be more about breaking away from faith :) but it's whatever you want it to be

past, so they just made the music video about suicide. Which is interesting because in the sucidal parts of the video (not the band performace) it's rewinding everything. Check it out. It's a disturbing one if you don't like suicide, like me, but to recognize it is important.

They never released it when the EP was out. Sierra just released it on like tumblr or twitter, or some kind of social media site, like back in October or November of 2011 I believe. It was all the original band members in the video, so they recorded it, just never released it. I like the song, and the suicide approach is interesting. Just tells you that songs can mean different things to different people. But I'm depicting that they couldn't do anything for a video that was similar to Sierra's

Definitely!! Who cares if you're straight, bisexual, or gay. And maybe, you never know, you could be bi. Maybe Sierra's made you learn a lil something about yourself. xD I support anyone no matter their sexuality. :)

I actually didn't even know there WAS a music video for this song, I don't think. But it is cool to think that there could be a double meaning. Another thing I just thought of is that self harm and suicide is occurring because of religion being stuffed down young peoples' throats and that they can't handle the pressure of being someone they're not.

But by the music video of this song, it's about self harm and suicide. So I always look it as a song about suicide. But your depiction makes sense 100% too, which I also really like.

That's very perceptive considering the EP title is Perceptions. HA. I did not know that about Sierra, which really makes sense for this song. And I've noticed in The Authors, the lyrics, "Only drowning men could see. That's not enough for me." I know by JUST those lyrics that she had christianity and religion shoved down her throat. So I depicted that song as Agnostic and figured the they're entirely Agnostic and most songs are based off Agnosticism, atleast in this EP.

I don't know that we have any real answer, but here's what I've heard from a few people: "Sierra went to a very strict catholic school that she hated so the line "rethink everything heard by the careless choir" could mean that she's rethinking everything she heard at that school and instead of just accepting everything they tell her, she's deciding that she has her own beliefs and she doesn't have to conform to other people's ideas."
