Although his version of this song is one of the best remembered early versions, it was actually "The Prisoner's Song" on the other side that accounted for the big sales numbers (12 weeks at number 1, 32 weeks on the charts, if I remember correctly).9 years назад

one of earliest examples of country guitar in that he uses both the walking bass and the alternating bass (Travis or Atkins picking) -- Hart Wand's Dallas blues used this technique on piano (1912) - and Sylvester Weaver (Guitar Rag about 1923) used them fluently, -- in addition to magnificent slide playing--but I've little doubt these techniques originated with Delta Bluesmen long before 1900.
