Oh Yes. I never knew Emmylou was involved with this song. Excellent harmonies. Where did that guitar come from? Way a head of their times. I'm 62 and heard it when it came out. I still love it. Bring back that feeling to country music.

Have a version of this song on the Country Strong alternate soundtrack album by a band called Jypsi. Never knew about this version - two of my favorite singers doing great song. Country really does transcend generations better than many other forms of music.

great song with to great voices, brings back a lot of memories as I heard this song a lot as a kid but I was into country music because my father was a big country fan,great to hear it again.

I think your wrong ,listen till the end and never my love, the females voices are different. emmy lou was on one of verns songs as was Janie Fricke but Im pretty sure this was emmy lou

Anything that Vern sings is a winner. I do so miss "The Voice" since he's gone.. We saw him several times at The Nashville Palace and enjoyed him and the band there. His great distinctive voice is always so enjoyable to listen to, whether it be his ballads or his gospel songs. I love Emmylou, too, and she's great in this duet with him. So many artists have recorded this song and it's so good that it sounds fine by every one of them. For anyone who keeps hanging on-my heart is with you.
