I see your point. At the time, I was classifying anything with screams, screamo or rock. I wasn't very big on genres back then. I guess it was just easier for me to call it screamo.

I agree. But seriously, if you can think of specific aspects to the supposed genre "screamo" , then i would just go with it. Its more people using it as a large unjust classification

Ehh. We all have our different opinions. In the end, music is just music. We shouldn't fuss over its labels and genres and should just enjoy its beauty.

Definitely not the case, there was never a point where all music with screaming in it was classified as screamo..... more to the point, the term screamo only indicates that a song has screaming in it, it is in no way indicative of its musical components, and therefor isn't a genre, just some shitty label that sounds horrible

Oh I didn't notice that he wrote it funny. That dick...haha jk. And I don't see why people hate it so much when others describe genres as "screamo". Thats how it was for a long time. Then people just bumped it into deathcore and anything generic that ends with core.

Dispute, Funeral Dinner, I Hate Myself, Saetia, Sed Non Satiata, Suis La Lune, Indian Summer, I Would Set Myself On Fire For You, Hot Cross, My Son, My Home and My Tree, Comadre, Envy, City of Caterpillars, Calculator et cetera and so forth.
