The lyric is definitely "Catch as catch can. Anybody in their right mind could see". The reason it's confusing is that "Catch as catch" is repeated twice and "can" is sung as part of the next line. Together it's "Catch as catch...Catch as catch.... can. Anybody in their right mind could see".
