Moving at the speed of light.The theory of relativity says that the faster you move, the slower your time goes compared to others moving slower. This means that moving at the speed of light would cause time for you to move infinitely slow, given that you would not be ripped to pieces by the high velocity. That would have the effect that you could move to anywhere in the universe in less than a blink of an eye. Though the distance traveled, to others, would still take the appropriate time of a foton moving that distance.Example:You fly to a star five light years away with the speed of light. To you, because your time slows down, you're there instantaneously. To the other guys back at earth, it took five years.Another interesting thought is, that it actually does not make sense to talk about moving at the speed of light. Explanation following.One of the first things postulated by Einstein in the theory of relativity, is that the physical laws of nature apply in the same way for any physical system moving at a constant speed. The problem here is, that fotons, light, is a consequence of laws of nature, and thereby they are included in this rule. Now, this would mean, that moving at the speed of light, would cause your system to be moving at the speed of light. This is a constant speed, and therefore the normal laws of nature apply. This means that any foton in your system would not be moving besides you, but it would still be moving away from you with the speed of light. Therefore you are not really moving at the speed of light, are you?To make things even more weird, the closer you come to the speed of light, the more you begin to weigh.I think these thoughts are ... wicked.
