This is my favorite song of usher, I love it because it has so many deep feelings. He wrote it to express how he felt during the hard times he had, his father's death, his first son birth right the day after it, his fight with his ex wife over the children's custody in court, his divorce, his shaken relationship with his mum, the fact that he couldn't perform in Berlin 2011, and just left the stage. He felt hopeless, failure, he felt like he will never perform again, he literally broke down and felt NUMB. Whenever I'm having hard times I just play this song , it makes me feel like this will pass too, we get ups and downs in our life, and this moment is one of them, I just have to endure it a little more, just like he did. ‪#‎usher‬ ‪#‎numb
