why is every one hating, this band was never intended to be "Like" BM, I like the singer, he has a great clean voice, sorta haunting with his projection, I like it even better than BM, UT are just as original, so different than BM, thank God they are not the same.

@jacobp2205 My day was made from the truth of that comment. :) And I think Shinn and Warren have two completely different voices that comparing them is stupid. Shinn's is airy, Warren's is gruff, the ranges are dissimilar, and the main difference is Warren is in Blind Melon. Shinn never was. So why compare Blind Melon to Unified Theory when it's a) It's two completely different bands and b) They both make beautiful music.

I agree the new ablum should never have been associated with Shannon's work...it was mediocre at best. I was really disapointed. I figured that there would still be enough chemistry between the remaining members to write a great instrumental and select a singer that would do the Melon name justice. It wasn't funky, quirky, bi-polar (in a good way), like there previous work...
