Personally i think "Giant for a day" was a far worse album than this one.It's a shame GG had to take this "commercial" direction, but nevertheless they did it with quality :)

Fortunately this statement is only your opinion. Is true that this album is not one of the more complex or purists. But on the other side thanks to it many people could approach the music of GG and a few of us had curiosity enough to explore their music a little bit more. Remember be flexible and open mind and listen without prejudgement . Thats a good rule to get much more pleasure of the music...or the life :)

And unfortunately, GG was the less commercially oriented band of the pack, they simply were not good making "plebeian" music. Genesis, Yes, ELP were easier to digest, even at their progressive and experimental peak. BTW, that fact doesn't redeem this miserable album.

Unfortunately progressive rock was dying at this time. Bands either had to commercialize their sound or be dropped by their record company. If they'd stuck with their earlier sound they probably would have suffered the same fate as far as their career goes. Genesis, ELP, Yes had all changed their sound. It was a shame.

Thanks for sharing. Used to listen to this album yes LP when I was young with my brother and now they want $65-$100 for the CD. :( My brother still has his LP but doesn't help me any. lol. glad I can hear this here. THANKS AGAIN!!
