this is a very good way of looking at this fact. though you always hear about the girl breaking the guys heart and not the other way around but i would assume guys break girls hearts more so than the other way around.

I'm a female, and I agree with gostate here. Let's just agree, whether you're a man or a woman, both genders are capable of breaking one another's hearts. We can't just turn our attention and blame to just one gender. We all have faults, I hope that we can all admit that. We're human beings, our emotions get tempered with. Pretty frequently too. But are we going to blame the women for being cheaters or expecting too much, or are we going to blame the men? Let's not blame either :-) Neutrality!
