My suspicions when I saw the trailer were right, someone remembered how cool Milla Jovovich's fight in The Fifth Element looked and thought of making a whole film around duplicating that same fight scene. So meh. The song's good, though.

It would have been nice if they answered some questions as to how it started with details as well as when they found the cure and how things were for Violet and Six after the final confrontation. Although the novelization goes into more details then the movie since the directors cut 35 minutes off the film on the final editing. The novelization of it is based off the uncut script which shows things the movie didn't.

Mila is great, concept is great, however this movie was hampered by mediocre CGI effects.

I have this movie and my husband loves it. I have the unrated version but I also believe this movie should have had more on the end. I would like to have seen the little boy or her trucker friend cure her. At the start of the movie shows how an illness started in a lab. Now that hits home in reality.

I hear ya. There's some real depth to this film if one is willing to put in the effort to pay attention. Woulda been a lot more if it weren't for movie studio interference. Totally hear you on your point, I think female characters like in this film are often more interesting than the male equivalent too. I guy can't lose a child quite the same as V does for example...so the motivation for justice is all the stronger. I love this film :)

Watch it with an open mind and whilst paying attention. Then you won't be sorry ;) I think it's awesome. And I'lll never quit being sad over the potential this film had before studio interference messed with it. Go for the US Unrated Cut if you can :)
