I just cant get enuff of these sorts of vids of u2 (making albums). I wish this was 3hrs long!! Im feeling BADLY let down by u2.com and their lack of clips like this about the recording of SOI album. The vids section on there is the only reason i visit the site really

I can understand people who think Adam Clayton very often does not what a bassist usually is supposed to do, but that doesn't make him a "fake" or "bad" bassist to me. He really often comes up with lines and melodies that simply make a song for me. Some songs would be nothing without his bass playing!

I guess you can see what choices they have to make, but they can just play this intro in a concert as The Edge usually likes to surprise the audience with an interesting intro.

man every musician sucks in the early years but adam is a really good bassist look at the bass line on bullet and exit as example that are fking great bass lines it may be easy to play but you don;t have to make difficult music only thing that matters is that is sounds good and when they perform live ..that you rock your socks off

Big U2 fan here, but have to agree with Caledonian2006. He's the "Ringo" of the group. Their loyalty to him needs to commended because he was truly horrible in the early years. Remember The Edge even had to play bass on "40" while Adam was relegated to one string and some effects on Edge's guitar.

Adam is fake?C'mon.That was a pretty kick ass bass he was using towards the end,never seen him use one like that.
