Saw U2 in May 83 at the Palladium in NYC, best concert I ever been to. I had a friend in JC, NJ where I grew up who was into U2 from the beginning. He would always talk "you gotta hear this new band from Ireland." We'd hear them on NEWs Prisoners of rock We all went to My Fathers Place in 82 and the whole gang got into this band and watched them rise to the top. For me War is their best album no Joshua Tree. After 88 I never really followed them anymore even though they are still great.
