On this day in 1959 {March 23rd} two versions of "Tell Him No" entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart and both were by duos... Travis and Bob's version peaked at #8 and spent 13 weeks on the Top 100, while Dean and Marc took it to #42 and stay on the Top 100 for 8 weeks... Travis Pritchett and Bob Weaver were both born in 1939 in Jackson, Alabama... And Dean & Marc {Mathis} with Larry Henley formed The Newbeats in 1964 and had a #2 {for 2 weeks} hit record, "Bread and Butter" in 1964...
