Wish IAN MCDONALD would have played the mellotron on this song to give it that progressive, psychodelic sound like his KING CRIMSON days. I wonder what instrument he played on this song.

Double vision came out when I was late in high school, junior or senior. This was some of the best music at the time. Tramontane was awsome. Guess you had to be in the right state of mind to " get it ". Foriegner, to me kinda jumped the shar after this.

According to the record, it was Greenwood, Jones, and McDonald who wrote Tramontane; however, Gramm did contribute to several of the tracks on this album.

Thanks for uploading this. Great tune! I always wanted this to be my theme song if I was in the entertainment industry and had my own TV or Radio show! I've had this album on vinyl since 1978. It's also the B-side to Hot Blooded. Use to play it on the jukeboxes back in the day.

Wow last time I heard this was in about 1979, I was 11 years old and loved this track. I kept rewinding the tape and listening to this over and over whilst reading King Solomon's Mines by H. Rider Haggard. It just seemed the right soundtrack for that book. Thanks for posting this; I will be buying the CD. The tape is sadly long gone.

THANK YOU!!! for posting this song. Haven't heard it for years and years. I first heard this at my buddy's house, it was a 45rpm vinyl record which he played at 33rpm. It sounds v-e-r-y slow and smooth that way, try it! (Just set your media player to 73.3% normal speed - Quaaludes optional).

I sure wish Foreigner would've done more instrumentals like these during their career.

I was never aware that this song was the B-side to "Hot Blooded", great song isn't it?

This is one of my all time favorite songs by Foreigner, it's a shame that it's not one of their better known tracks they've done and not many Foreigner fans talk about this masterpiece.
