its pretty funny how up tight people are about genres of music. i just say if it has a guitar, its rock. so all the music i listen to is rock. genres have no purpose and are a distraction from actual music. so tool is rock to me. so is QOTSA, my favorite band.

I remember a fellow Art student playing the TOOL demo in our painting class, @ CSULB back in '91. I dug it right away! Unfortunately, the rest of the class didn't and turned it off. She said, "Well THAT didn't last long..." I was annoyed. Fucking wimps! They couldn't handle when I played Smashing Pumpkins either. It still amazes me how Art students could be such musical wimps. You'd think we were in church or some shit. Sheesh!
