As he has gotten older and his voice has mellowed he sounds better in the soft range. I also consider the soft range, as you describe it to be something other than just how loud an artist is singing.

Great!! Thank you for posting. I heard Tony Bennett say in an interview that he considers Judy Garland the greatest singer of the 20th Century. It shows how much he respects her in this video!
