This song came out when I was in Vietnam but I was able to hear it for the first time about 12 years ago. It should have been number one. Tommy does a voice over on this song as this technology had just come out. I still have my akia M-8 seven inch reel to reel with sound on sound capability. It is my favorite song by Tommy.

I played drums for Tommy in Morgan City, La. around 20+ years ago.For the short time I knew him and his two sons, Barry (Drummer), and Chad (Guitar) The Original "Mule Train Band", a lot of GREAT memories! I learned to play bass guitar since and have adapted my play around his unique style. You can also see a cameo of them playing in a bar scene in the movie "The Drowning Pools" from 1975

When I was a very young teenage girl from Port Arthur Texas I found Tommy McClain across the River in Louisiana. Being from Texas that's what we said. We were going across the River or to the Big Oaks. Now I'm a very old girl and found Tommy McClain again on You Tube. I bought his CD on Amazon. Love love it.
