I think this is an amazing bass solo. He grooves and makes great use of harmonics and double stops!!! Also I don't think many people would choose this song as a solo bass piece so ...cool!

There are some more players out there, let's enjoy them, study them, buy their music, introduce them to our friends etc., and let them feel the magic. Yes a great player, but you can't say "best bass player" from "looking" at bass solos, its an ensamble instrument you have to hear the swing and the soul with a band too. Not his fault, just another case of people listening with their eyes and not their ears, so common on YT.

YES man. Do you know, i thought it was Chick/Pattituci for years !! i was astonished when i dug out MASTERPLAN last month and read the line-up. These two guys have just got everything down !! That trio track is just awesome.

Tom Kennedy with his brother Ray Kennedy. Ray Kennedy is so great on piano. I love their version with Weckl (Softly, as i a morning sunrise) and their work on Basses loaded
