Phil Spector is, no doubt, one of the most talented people in the music business. These early 1960's tunes are just spectacular! The girl groups that he managed and coached made really nice, emotional, and just great songs/music. However, Phil is a creep, really. It's a shame. Now the one thing I just want to comment on is the fact that Darlene Love is a major talent. Great, nice, romantic voice! I think she sang those songs, or most of them, from The Crystals, too. I was watching a video on her a little while ago, and she said that she was, yes, literally cleaning houses at 40 years old. These Spector hits were released when Darlene was about 20 or so. It's such a shame that Ms. Darlene Love didn't receive more credit, early on, for her awesome, and irreplaceable voice that made Spector a famous man! Spector, no doubt, brought Darlene to fame as well. So it goes both ways, but Darlene should probably have been a millionaire when she was in her 20's, in the 1960's. But I imagine Phil took most of the dough. Nevertheless, Darlene Love is still a major talent, and her voice and songs still sound great over 50 years later!! Seems like a very nice lady as well. PS: Phil Spector's stuff sounds just as awesome today, probably maybe more, then when is was released some 50 plus years back!!

Darlene Love is fabulous. Phil Spector cheated her (and probably others) out of royalties she earned. Darlene took him to court and was awarded half a million dollars, but that was probably a fraction of what she deserved.
