+YourGamingHighness​ I rarely listen to music in any other language besides Japanese. Music like this is hard to deny. It's really good; the vocalist, the instrumentals. I have never heard an American or western artist make music in this style or any style simliar to what Japan does. They have *style* and their lyrics are not so much focused on the 'sex and drugs and money and fame' position of American Pop (and our country in general). I couldn't say the rock is always better, I love to listen to my classic rock, but Japan does have an edge in classic rock just as they do in modern. It's not about what language they speak but the content of their lyrics, the instrumentals, and japanese vocalists are very good with what they do. It isn't better, it's just more broad and less focused on what's new and popular.As for where new gen rock is going in this country, I think Japan will always dominate over new gen rock. Look at where all these bands are going. Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold (My favorite American band has gone a little downhill), I feel like they just aren't trying. Japan seems very commercial, but without becoming annoying. I feel like there is a more diverse media overall. And one for my watchers;And the US could make good anime if they just tried! RWBY had some dialogue and story issues. But if we tried, we could totally pull it off. Anyone could, they just have to do it right.
