I am italian but I have just discovered this tune, literally 30 mins ago, i just can't stop listening to it!t amazes me how some song can transcend language barriers. trust me the lyrics are just fine; it talks about bright paths, street "strade" that at night can be recognized only from their peculiar scents and by the awareness that you will be going through them once again even if you don't remember.
