You guys need to get you all facts together before posting comments here. This was written by Justin Here Cassel, the older brother of the late king of Soca, Arrow Cassel. He who was a former Calypso Monarch of Monsterat wrote every one of Arrows songs, including Hot Hot Hot. Arrow and his brother Hero went to see Byron Lee in Jamaica, because they wanted help to produce a record, and that is how Byron Lee got to know about Tiney Winey. And with Arrow's permission, he was allowed to record the song. Arrow owns the copyright to the song. Byron Lee's version was arranged by Liston Paul, the best Soca arranger at the time. And that made his version a bigger hit. Hero sang this very song at Arrow's funeral in October of 2010.
