I think it can take a while for new LoG listeners to detect any variety in their music. I'm no serious fan of LoG but I've listened to AotW and Sacrament a fair bit off and on since 2006 and still end up feeling like I'm listening to a 40-minute loop of mid/uptempo 16th note triplets with cartoonishly evil riffs peppered in here and there. No slight on them either when I say that, as I like 'em. But their music definitely seems to have a bit of a repetitive theme.

I think the loss of Kyle McKnight is far and away the most crushing. His leads/solos/general melodic shit are so absurdly awesomely written and, when comparing it to his contemporaries in the metalcore scene, there is virtually no equal.
