Best rendition I've heard outside of TMBG. This is one of the coolest written songs. If someone said "write an entire song about a random object in your room", this would take top prize.

Although the narative intro and the mid-song declaration of the forthcoming 'bridge' are annoying, this is a very decent acoustic version of a song I love. You should remind any critics that nobody else has had the balls to dip their toe in this particular water, by uploading their own version, and I would imagine this is because it takes a lot of talent, and testicular iron, to pull this song off. I like this a lots and lots :)

@PhlyanPan It's curious that you say that it's the 'Brits' who lose their accents, for two reasons. 1) Britain has varying accents, and it's not just England, but Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland too. 2) The American accent was derived from English, not the other way round. If a person with any accent sings a song by someone with a different accent, they will try to sing it in the style of that song. So no-one 'loses' any accent, it just changes a little. ... Ha, thanks for stopping by Ryan. This is a cover I remember watching awhile ago. Its memorable because its good and because its probably the cheekiest Birdhouse cover on Youtube. :) So its nice to get some props from someone who did a version way before mine. In a way you helped inspire all my TMBG covers.
