Lovecraft was, I will concede, quite a damn racist. That doesn't detract his influence on the birth of modern gothic horror or the fact that I wouldn't even probably have learned about Canaanite or Babalonian mythology without having read and cherished his stories. But I also enjoy the work of Jean Paul Sartre despite the fact that I am a feminist and some of his work borders on blatant chauvinism. If you can point to me a single man or woman in this world who wasn't a hypocrite at some point in their life I'd be pretty impressed, but it seems like part of our nature. In Lovecraft's defence, if you read much about his life you'd see that he did lighten up on the racism later in his life after he actually met and knew people of other ethnicities than his own. We might be just as ignorant if we'd been born before the socio-political schism mid-20th century.

Double pedal sounds good, but a lot of bands like this one are just fine the without it. Now, what this bands needs, is a live orchestra. That would do justice.

Wrong band for you if that's what your after, too many metal bands ruin songs with overpowering double pedal these days, normally in a shallow ,over-produced attempt to get mosh pits at their gigs.

Its not "dragon" is DAGON. A babylonian deity. H.P. Lovecraft wrote a short story based on dagon. "With only a slight churning to mark its rise to the surface, the thing slid into view above the dark waters. Vast, Polyphemus-like, and loathsome, it darted like a stupendous monster of nightmares to the monolith, about which it flung its gigantic scaly arms, the while it bowed its hideous head and gave vent to certain measured sounds."
