As A Greek, I've Heard A Legend(?) About "Hermes The Trismegistus". In Some Writings He's Referred As The First Greek Monotheist And Prophet (By Pausanias For Example), Who Lived In 9th Century BC, But There's Something Special About Him... He Spoke About The Son Of The God Creator, Poimantris [Derived By The Words "ποιμήν" (=shepherd) + "ανήρ" (=male human)], And His Light, Which Will Deliver The Humans From Death. It could also be a reference to how the Greeks had MANY gods, and ironically, also did actually include an alter to "the unknown god" (in case they missed one..). Paul actually makes reference to this in the new testament as he interacted with many of the philosophers of the day in Athens. He discussed that this unknown god they didn't know was the One True God that CAN be known.10 years назад

Because the majority of people on this earth don't know him. That's probably what ''unknown'' stands for. To us Christians Jesus Christ is God and we know him, but to the world he is unknown because alot of people don't believe in him or worship false gods and idols.10 years назад
