Nothing wrong with playing Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet. Some of my buddies play in very well known groups & love to play here because it brings family and friends to our local spot everyone knows and loves and holds dear. You feel closer to your friends when they do play here. I've always loved Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet ever since I was a kid & I hung out with my uncles who were all either Gangsters & or Paisas. Its an Honor to see the homies name on the Big Board when they are gonna play off the 5 & or Alondra Blvd. Viva La Raza y La HUELGA!

. . . After Benny left, He was my bass player and singer with "The Prophets" We played a millions gigs with the Midnighters.I think they should do with all the groups in the same way. Call it a Tribute band. Good luck to them and Blessing to these guys in there indeveres I have no ill feelings to the new guys. but I have to tell you I am loyal to the Original Midnighters.

I would love to see the group. But I now live in Arizona. Just a quick note Jimmy wasn't the Bass that played the original "Land of a Thousand Dances" He came in afterwards. The One that played it was my dear friend Benny Lopez. I am very happy to see Larry Rendon playing with the group. I know these guys very well. The reason it don't sound the same is they're are not the originals. Where's Benny, Roy, Larry George, Danny, Willie, etc. Comm'on now, Don't pretend your the Midnighters. Be original and get a new name and write some songs.

No matter how you slice the Midniters they are bad and a legend in our own times. Williw G still perforsm as the OG Midniters. Just went to one of his concerts at the Gibson Amp at universal Hollywood and they were bad asss. Oldies But Goodies forever Chicano Power !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
