"Multiple levelations", "don't even need explainin'!"

The Young Rascals were:

Eddie Brigati (vocals)

Felix Cavaliere (keyboard, vocals)

Gene Cornish (guitar)

Dino Danelli (drums)

This is the B-side to "A Girl Like You", and was being played on the then-underground FM stations back in New York while the A-side was climbing up the pop charts on the AM dial.

One of my favorite 60's songs, I bought this copy new when it was released.

The Young Rascals played at "The Barge" in the Hamptons. Across the street (known as "Dune Road" was the famous "Hot Dog Beach." This is where they got started!!!

My kingdom (a pauper's kingdom!) for a clean mono copy of the Groovin' album. Mine is worn through.

The flute playing of Hubert Laws really kicks this song up a notch. You would never think of the Rascals as a "jazzy" band, but here it is.

@shyphyre - These guys were keyed in from the git-go. Their live shows in the 60's often concluded with the lengthy improv piece "Cute". The vibe continued on the album "Island of Real" with guitarist Buzzy Feiten. The magic of "It's Love" was made possible, in part, with flute master Hubert Laws, who was also signed to Atlantic Records at the time. This track is nothing but timeless beauty.

My friend tried posting this tune and "Find Somebody" in stereo and the dumb louses at youtube wouldn't allow the upload. Warner Music Group claimed copyright infringement

@shyphyre And probably, no doubt, influenced by the then-prevailing beliefs and interesting substances which were available. ;-)

This tune sounds very different from the usual tunes from the Rascal that are played on the oldies stations. It sounds like they were really infuenced by the Jazz music of that era.

Song was one of my favorites and was WAY ahead of its time.... most popular hits were played on radio and were great, but I loved playing this from my Groovin album almost every day in the 60's.... btw... GREAT clear crisp sound..bravo!
