Satellite (see below for lyrics) is a track by The Yearlings with which I have some kind of love-hate relationship. If it's a sweet-and-sour dish, I love the tangy sourness of the verses (especially the first), but the sweetness of the chorus doesn't allways go down well.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.

Lyrics

I'm imagining the letters that you've never sent

They're comforting to read

in times when I can't

think of anyone to rely on

You wake up when the day is allready done

I'm turning back the time

to see what I've won

As far as I recall

I just spend the night with you

I never thought that I had it in me

I always thought

you'd be there to convince me

that forever means not what I think it means

You came walking in

Now you're walking out

Well, it don't mean a thing

cause I'm your satellite

And if Venus is your name

They're gonna find my orbit some day

It don't mean a thing

cause I'm your satellite

And spinning around you is all I can do

There used to be a time when we grew apart

Do I really have to know

that I can't change your heart?

Cause if I do I'd still be around you

I never thought that you had it in you

I always thought I'd be there to convince you

that forever means just

what it's supposed to mean
