Classic tune from The Who's second full-scale rock opera Quadrophenia, 1973. It was released as a single on January 12, 1974 along with B-Side I'm One and later appeared in the 1979 movie Quadrophenia: A Way Of Life.
It was also featured on the 2002 Who compilation The Ultimate Collection, with a slightly modified opening.
It concerns a boy named Jimmy, a young English Mod with four distinct personalities. The song describes how he angrily deals with several individuals to identify "The Real Me"

Unpopular opinion but these guys would have been much better without Pete. Roger is an awesome singer, Keith was unbelievable and I have no words to describe John. Pete is a good songwriter and a nice guitar player, but he was not good enough to lead the band.9 years назад
