I tried to write if I had a special woman, but was rushed as the song came to an end. ( WHICH IS THE REASON FOR THE STUPID ONE LINER BELOW "IF I HAD A SPECIAL 21 WOULD BE A GOOD YEAR") I'm 65, not looking for sex, just a female friend. Friends of the opposite sex are still more fun then friends that only want to talk about sports. In some places you better finish your message before the end of the song, in other places like here, it's OK if you are writing when the song comes to an end, you have plenty of time. So even tho in 21 I will be 71, I still hope it will be a good year. Many people 80 plus will tell you, "O'h to be 71 again, how wonderful!

When I'am 71 in 21 if Viagra still works then there in no reason why 21 can't be a good year, and I don't have any deaf, dumb and blind kids to worry about. Paul Simon said that when we are 70 we should preserve our memories, that's all that's left us. But he's like 73 now, so it is just a 26 year olds false perspective, that was how old Paul Simon was when he sang about people who are 70 should preserve their memories, that is all that's left you. Remember his singing that song about two old men in their 70's setting on a park bench looking like bookends, both sharing the same fears. I have no fear of death, after having lost my consciousness many times in my life. You are here one day then gone tomorrow or 2000 tomorrow's, but unlike becoming unconscious and still living in your shell or body, when you die, you finally find out where your spirit goes now for the first time since you can remember, your spirit is free to leave your body. What about the boy?

When this song was on the album that I had for so many years ago, repeating "what about the boy" three times at the end of the song sounded so much more emotional then just one: "what about the boy". To me it sounds unfinished without WHAT ABOUT THE BOY REPEATED THREE TIMES. But some how we can brave bad weather, what about the boy, what about the boy, what about the boy.
