Awesome and blues is what Hendrix said, "Anyone can play blues but to feel it is another story altogether." The solo or licks in between the riffs are blues inspired or esque or ish, He seems to feel it and that's all that matters really. You can hear the influence really. It's rad to see how far he went with the white stripes with just a mediocre or average drummer. He's like a Kurt Cobain type if you will, he was a crap guitarist but an awesome lyricist and Jack he's just an awesome singer with some great ideas. Made a buddy and me do a duo band with just guitar and drums for a while. Since we both liked the stripes we covered like 5 or 6 of their songs and played our own at backyard parties. Before moving to other things. Me, I want to do what another drummer and guitarist and bassist had started along with a keyboardist all friends first and just do a prog metal/punk/rock band. To accommodate everyone's tastes.
