Dave Gedge is in the best 5 lyricists the UK has ever produced. Alex Turner is not fit to string his guitar (I'd have gone for the George Best drinks lacing line but Gegde doesn't have the reputation of a boozer etc0

genius. bought the album aged 15. listened to it alongside House of Love, very early Stone Roses and early Charlatans. Still have all the vinyl. Dave Gedge - forgotten legend. So much of what came after can be tracked back to the brilliance that was George Best. Thanks for posting.
