This can't be 1993. The keyboardist on this video is Karl Wallinger who was with the band from 1983-1986 at which point he left to form his own band World Party. Based on the Waterboys website (which lists every gig ever played with the set list and band members) I'd say it was 1984, even if it was broadcast some years later.

What a great recording. Haven't seen nearly enough footage Mike Scott and the boys during this, their "big music" exploration, and in such clarity. The sound, filming, and editing are all nicely executed, giving off a true sense of what they were like during that early time. This footage was taken after the his first two albums were released, just prior to the "This Is The Sea" album. I love Mike Scott's inspired performance, he is all there, and there's no holding back. Lovely...
