I am currently high on meth "for the last time"...My wife almost left me today because of my problem, and more than just wanting to not be alone, I noticed the pain in her eyes and voice this time. My heart almost gave up when it all hit me (not the drugs, her feelings/concern).I hate this lifestyle. "It's not me. This isn't me. I don't want this. You're made for so much more in life. Make the naysayers wrong and your parents proud." I keep telling myself.I've never had this much of a wake-up call before, which means I still have something left in me. Not once in 27 years have I been so sad, terrified, and relieved all at once. I am so lucky to have good people around me, and I have been taking them for granted, and it is heart-wrenching to finally realize and empathize with what's being said to you.I hope, if there are any lost souls out there like me, that read this message, that you can find comfort and relate to this message.I feel like crying for so many different reasons...but making myself numb to it all is not the answer any longer. It is time for me to move on from destroying myself and loved ones. I want to live again...and I hope this message might spark something inside of you that will help you follow the path that you know you're really meant for.My black heart goes out to you, fellow travelers. May you find peace...
